L. ROBERT GHELFI, M.D.

L. Robert Ghelfi, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Ghelfi has been practicing general surgery in the Redding area for over 23 years, as well as establishing an anti-aging practice 5 years ago.  That practice focuses on hormone balance, fitness, and nutrition.

Through the years, he has observed that many of his patients seem to be suffering from chronic, sometimes debilitating disease processes.  The utilization of a patient's own stem cells has shown great promise in the treatment of some of these problems, and Dr. Ghelfi began studying this type of treatment in detail.  Along with his wife, Marilee (a registered nurse), they are pleased to offer cutting edge, high quality stem cell treatments for patients in Northern California.

Dr. Ghelfi has 4 grown children, all of whom are marathon runners.  He and Marilee also enjoy running and golfing.

Nearly all of the patients we treat will already have a specialist involved in their care.

We aim to have a multi-specialty and inclusive approach to the problems we are treating.  We want to augment, not usurp a patient's choices. To that end, we are affiliating with many different doctors who share our interest in adding stem cell treatments to their medical arsenal. Our aim is to utilize our proficiency in this branch of medicine, but utilize the other specialist's expertise to guide the delivery of the treatments. In many cases we may ask the surgeons to actually deliver the cells directly into the affected area themselves, after those cells have been safely harvested in our office.
